Invitation to Attend

It gives me great pleasure, on behalf of the organising committee, to invite you to attend the first Australia, Asia Pacific Laryngology and Dysphagia Conference in Melbourne, Australia.

An excellent group of international speakers from the otolaryngology and speech pathology professions will cover a wide range of issues in the specialties of laryngology and swallowing dissorders.

You should achieve an in depth understanding of several topics in laryngology, including neurolaryngology, vocal fold paralysis, various laryngeal investigative techniques including stroboscopy, EMG and high speed photography, phonosurgical techniques, reflux and much more.

In dysphagia the following, among others will be covered comprehensively- Transnasal oesophagoscopy, the neurology of swallowiong, other investigative techniques including videofluroscopy, FEES, and manometry. There will be extensive input and cross fertilization from the field of gastroenterology and neurology.

The emphasis will be on the practical issues of diagnosis, investigation and management of problems.

You should hopefully acquire skills to help you in a very practical way to deal with problems on a daily basis in your professional life.
